Highlands FC Announces New First Grade Coach
Highlands Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of former Socceroo George Kulcsar to the first grade coaching position for 2012.
George’s stellar career includes playing for the Socceroos, in Belgium for Royal Antwerp, in England for Bradford City and Queens Park Rangers and in Singapore for Home United. He also played for the AIS, Canberra City and St George Saints in Australia.
In recent years, after a stint as the technical director of ANU Football Club, George was appointed as Southern NSW Football’s full time coaching development manager and in 2009, he coached Illawarra District League team.
“After having a year sabbatical from coaching, I am excited about the prospect of working with the Highlands FC organisation and look forward to the challenges ahead,” said Mr Kulcsar. “I am also looking forward to continuing the development of the young talent and helping the players’ progress through the pathway that Highlands FC provides for them”.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have such an experienced and talented former player and coach such as George join our team at Highlands FC and are looking forward to a very successful year in 2012 and beyond,” said Mr David Morrison, Chairman of Highlands FC. “It is very exciting to see that George is committed to investing in the development of future players”.
“Highlands FC would also like to acknowledge the work done by Curtis Campbell in the development of the first grade players through the previous two seasons,” said Mr Morrison.
George holds AFC A Licence Part 1 Coaching Licence and will be conducting Senior Trials for Highlands Football Club in early December.
