ABOUT
THE HIGHLANDS FC LOGO
__________________________________________
The Highlands FC logo has been designed
to acknowledge the considerable
contribution made, over many years, by
clubs of the region & the Highlands
community.
The new
logo continues the spirit of their
involvement through its symbols &
colours.
The Highlands FC logo has
been design to reflect Highlands
football heritage.
The Shape
- is that of a coat of arms, or crest,
much like a traditional family crest.
Highlands FC is representative of the
family of Highlands clubs and the
Highlands Soccer Association.
The
Waratah
- in the top left of the logo reflects
the local area in which Highlands FC is
based. The Association Member Clubs
basically reside within the
Wingecarribee
Shire and the
waratah
is consistent with
waratah
within the
Wingecarribee
Shire Council logo.
The colours
- red & white colours across the top of
the logo are consistent with the
heritage colours of the Highlands Soccer
Association and where possible will form
the alternate colour basis for various
promotional products and apparel.
Alternate blue
vertical stripes
- located in the lower section of the
logo represents the colors of both the
former separate senior and junior clubs,
Highlands United and Highland Eagles,
that joined with Highlands Soccer
Association to form Highlands FC, the
first time we have had a united
Highlands community football club.
The Football
- located at the base of the crest, the
ball is covered with a star pattern. The
stars represent the foundation effort of
the Lewis family and the foundation
members of the original All Stars team
in the early 1980’s.
The Year
- and of course, as the logo identifies,
Highlands FC was established by way of
its first football season this year,
2009. In years to come, we can all
proudly look back at the official club
launch in April 2009 knowing it was then
that football in the Highlands stepped
to a new grand level.
